Overview
This document provides technical details, connection diagrams, and function descriptions for the GEZE EMD F,and EMD Invers door drive systems. These systems are designed for reliable automatic door operation with specific modes for Low Energy and Servo functionality.
Connection Diagram
The system supports various connection configurations including SIS, SIS E, and SIS M. Proper wiring of the connection terminals is essential for safe operation.
Key Components
- Control SIS: Connection terminals SIS 1, SIS 2, SIS 3.
- GND: Ground connection points.
- Inputs: KA, KB, KI signal inputs for activation.
- Power Supply: Mains connection.
Electrical Data
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Power Supply | 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz |
| Power Consumption | 230 W |
| External Consumer Output | 24 V DC (approx. 750-800 mA) |
Low Energy Function
The drives EMD, EMD-F, and EMD Invers can be configured as Low Energy drives by adjusting the relevant parameters.
Safety & Limits
- The kinetic energy in the door leaf must be limited to 1.69 J.
- The static force on the main closing edge must be smaller than 67 N.
- To achieve this, the opening speed (vo) and closing speed (vc) must be set according to the characteristic display field based on leaf mass and width.
- Safety sensors are generally not required in Low Energy mode if these limits are met.
Parameter Adjustments
Hold-open time: The adjustment range for the hold-open time parameter is typically 0 to 60 seconds.
Servo Function
Drives EMD F and EMD Invers can be set as servo drives. This mode facilitates manual operation with motor assistance.
Operation Characteristics
- In servo operation, the drive operates with force support, effectively compensating for the spring force.
- The door can be easily opened or closed manually by the user.
- The drive does not open automatically in this mode unless triggered.
Activation
The servo function is initiated by:
- Activating inputs KI, KA, KB.
- Changing settings to DO (Automatic) mode.
- Manual opening of the door.
Note: If no activation signal is applied and the operating mode is not set to Automatic, the door will close automatically after the set hold-open time has expired.
Leaf Dimension & Weight
The operational limits of the drive depend on the leaf width and weight. Consult the characteristic field diagram for precise settings.
- Leaf Width Range: Typically 0.50 m to 1.60 m.
- Max Weight: Up to approximately 230 kg (dependent on width).
- Example: A leaf width of 1.25 m may support approximately 100 kg.
