6. Connecting Accessories

Installation Requirements:

  • Clamp the connection cables to the connectors and plugs on the connection board.
  • Maximum Total Load: 1.5 A at terminals 1, 1G, and 3.
  • Terminal 1G Load: Maximum 1 A.
  • Cable Length: Maximum of 30 m when using J-Y(ST)Y 0.8 mm.

Power & DCW Interface

Terminal / Function Specifications
DCW Upgrade Card Interface for DCW accessories.
Fire Protection Upgrade Card If installed, either an RM-ED or terminating resistor 18K must be connected.
Note: Terminal 18K is included with the Upgrade Card.
Power Output (Terminals 1, 1G, 3) 24 V DC/AC + 15% output for external accessories.
Max Load: 1.5A total (Max 1A on terminal 1G).

Input & Output Signals

Locking Relay
  • Max. 1 A / 48 V DC/AC
  • Terminals: NO, NC, COM
  • Includes Locking Feedback (0V, Input)
Program Switch Inputs
  • Off
  • Automatic
  • Permanent Open
  • Partial Open / Exit Only
  • Night/Bank
Safety Sensors
  • Hinge Side: 24V, 0V, Test Output, Signal Input (Terminals 1, 3, etc.)
  • Opposite Hinge Side: 24V, 0V, Test Output, Signal Input
Activators
  • Inside Activator: 24V (Terminal 1), Signal (Terminal 4)
  • Outside Activator: 24V (Terminal 1), Signal (Terminal 3)
Status Relay
  • Configurable output status signals.
Important Note on EVAC/SPV:

When using EVAC/SPV, input 43 changes to input EVAC/SPV. EVAC opening pulse with activated EVAC function is only possible via input 35.

Smoke Detector: Functions based on shutdown operator function.

6.2 Terminal Assignment: Accessible WC Upgrade Card

Configuration for Barrier-Free WC (Toilet) applications.

Required Components

The door unit must be equipped with the following components for this mode:

  • Quiescent current door opener or a suitable motorized panic lock.
  • Inside: Door handle, Surface text button, Status display "Engaged".
  • Outside: Knob, Surface text button, Status display "Free/Engaged".

Specific Terminal Functions (WC Mode)

Status / Input Terminal Function / Layout
Status Relay Output Indicates "Free" or "Engaged" via NO/NC/COM contacts (Max 1A/48V).
Emergency Switch Can be optionally mounted inside and outside. Included in the scope of some upgrade cards.
Forced Flushing Controls for forced flushing: 1s impulse, 24 V DC (via Output).

Recommendation: dormakaba recommends that the accessible WC also be integrated into an emergency call system provided by the customer.
