Program Switches
The Geze EMD F supports various program switches for controlling door operating modes. The system distinguishes between internal and external program switches.
Supported Switch Types
- DPS (Display Program Switch): Used for commissioning and service. Part No. 115525 (GC 338).
- MPS (Mechanical Program Switch): Standard mechanical switch for mode selection.
- TPS (Key Program Switch): Key-operated switch for secure mode selection.
- MPS-ST: Mechanical program switch for specific configurations.
Control Priorities
The system inputs prioritize signals in the following order:
- Input NA (Night/Locked) takes precedence over inputs NA, LS, AU, and DO.
- If DPS is applied to the input, it overrides other mechanical switches.
Note: If the DPS is used, the code cannot be changed via the TPS. Configuration changes via TPS are only possible if no signal is queued at the NA, LS, AU, and DO inputs.
Operating Modes & Input Signals
The drive switches to specific operating modes when a 24 V signal is applied to the corresponding input terminals (KL 1).
| Signal Input | Description |
|---|---|
| NA | Night (Locked) - High Priority |
| LS | Shop Closing / Exit Only |
| AU | Automatic Mode |
| DO | Permanently Open (Dauerauf) |
Output Configuration (PA1 & PA2)
The controller provides two programmable outputs for status signaling and external system integration.
PA1 Output
PA1 is a floating relay contact. It is typically used for switching voltage or current.
- Rating: Max. 24 V AC/DC, 1 A
-
Default Function: Configurable via Parameter
A1(e.g., Door status).
PA2 Output
PA2 is a transistor output (Active Low/High depending on config).
- Rating: 24 V DC / 0.2 A
-
Default Function: Configurable via Parameter
A2. -
Example: Set Parameter
A2to01for specific fault indication or status reporting.
Fault Indication
If a system fault occurs, the corresponding error number is displayed on the DPS or TPS. Example configuration:
- Set Parameter
A2to01for Fault Indication output. - Output switches after 3 sec (configurable via control detects).
Accessories
Compatible accessories for the Geze EMD F system:
- Surface Mount Socket (Single): GC 306, Part No. 100010
- Display Program Switch (DPS): GC 338, Part No. 115525
- Profile Half Cylinder: Part No. 090176
-
Fan for Motor Cooling: Configurable via output parameters (e.g.,
A2 = 05to drive a fan).
Display & Troubleshooting
Switching Master/Slave Operation
To toggle between Master (1-leaf) and Slave (2-leaf) display modes:
- Simultaneously press keys on the DPS.
- The DPS display indicates the mode:
1 (Master)or2 (Slave).
In the event of an error, the error code is displayed (see DPS error messages).
