Assa Abloy SW200 Electrical Connection & Installation Guide

12. Electrical Connection Safety

Important Note! During any work with the electrical connections, the mains must be disconnected.
  • Place the electric switch so it is easily accessible from the operator. If a plug contact is used in the installation, the wall socket shall be placed easily accessible from the operator.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

See Auto-learn – automatically sets back and latch check (recommended) in the full manual (page 63).

Condition: If R/S < 192mm, the connection box should be rebuilt.

Mains Connection

  1. Switch off the mains.
  2. Connect the plug contact to the wall socket or connect to the mains switch.

Fuse Requirement: 10AT

12.1 Control Units: CU-200

The CU-200 can be equipped with extension units, EXU-SI and/or EXU-SA, depending on the functions required.

Main Control Terminals

  • 1 PAG: Push & Go
  • 2 MAT: Safety Mat (Overhead presence)
  • 3 SOS: Stop on Stall
  • 4 AS1: Arm System 1
  • 5 AS2: Arm System 2
  • 6 AS3: Arm System 3
  • 7 AS4: Arm System 4

Input/Output Terminals

  • OPD: Overhead presence detection
  • LRN: Learn button
  • GND: (-) 0V DC Ground
  • IIMP: Inner impulse (controlled by Key switch)
  • XIMP: Overhead presence sensor (incl. 24V, LOUT, Safety Impulse)
  • LOUT: Lock-out for OPD (-)
  • +24V DC: Accessory power

Potentiometer Adjustments

Setting Range / Value Description
Hold open time 1.5s - 30s Adjustable time door stays open
Closing torque - Adjust force for closing
Power assist - Assist force setting
Closing speed - Speed during closing cycle
Opening speed - Speed during opening cycle
Activation delay 2s Delay before activation (DIP switchable)
Note regarding Fire Doors: Remove jumper if/when connecting the mechanical lock kick used for fire doors.

12.1.2 Arm System Selection

Factory set arm configuration is PUSH 210 mm. If another configuration is required, select the arm configuration on the DIP-switches according to the table below.

Legend: ON = 1, OFF = 0

AS 4 (DIP8) AS 3 (DIP7) AS 2 (DIP6) AS 1 (DIP5) Arm System Configuration Application Details
0 0 0 0 PUSH, 210 mm (Pushing) Default. Distance 0-80 mm (Reveal + Thickness + Hinge)
0 0 0 1 PUSH, 95 mm (Pushing) Distance 75-130 mm
1 1 1 0 PULL 95, 95 mm Pulling
1 1 0 1 PULL 210, 210 mm Pulling
0 1 0 0 Sliding Push Reveal 0-100mm, 180 degrees
0 1 0 1 Sliding Push Reveal 100-200mm, 180 degrees
0 1 1 0 Sliding Push Reveal 200-305mm, 180 degrees* (Max inertia 45kgm)
1 0 0 0 PULL, 210 mm Reveal 0-65 mm
1 0 0 1 PULL, 210 mm Reveal 65-130 mm
0 0 1 1 PULL, 95 mm Reveal 0-65 mm (Narrow doors)
1 0 1 0 PULL, 95 mm Reveal 0-65 mm, angle up to 180 deg (PULL/PAS)
1 0 1 1 PULL, 95 mm Reveal 65-130 mm (PULL/PAS)
1 1 1 1 Folding door -
1 1 1 1 Concealed (With panic switch) Max panic breakout switch must be normally closed.
0 1 1 1 Concealed (Without panic switch) Only low energy mode. Decreased speeds.
Important! After changing any system selection, a new LEARN sequence must be carried out.
If an undefined combination of AS1-AS4 is selected, PUSH 210 mm is used as default.

12.1.4 Extension Unit EXU-SI

This extension unit adds inputs for electro-mechanical lock, program selector, batteries, KILL function, OPEN/CLOSE, KEY opening, and outer impulse.

Terminals & Functions

  • 1 (+24 V DC): Power Output
  • 2 OPEN: Open/Close impulse (latching relay)
  • 3 EXIT: Program selector input
  • 4 OFF: Program selector input
  • 5 UNL: Unlocked signal from lock
  • 6 KRST: Kill Reset (Manual vs Automatic via jumper)
  • 7 KILL: Kill impulse
  • 8 KEY: Key impulse (1.5 - 30s)
  • 9 O/C: Open/Close
  • 10 OIMP: Outer impulse
  • 11 GND: Ground
  • 12/13 (-/+): Battery backup unit

DIP Switch Configuration (Switch 1-5)

Switch # Function (ON) Function (OFF)
1 Lock 24V Lock 12V
2 Locked with power (Fail Safe) Locked without power (Fail Secure)
3 Lock release enabled -
4 Lock kick enabled (Powerful closing) Smooth closing (No lock)
5 Battery monitoring -
Lock Kick: Position ON provides more powerful closing to overcome binding. Inactivated for inverse applications.

12.1.5 Extension Unit EXU-SA

Adds inputs for door mounted sensors (presence impulse on approach and presence detection on swing path). Includes relay output for error indication or door indication.

Terminals

  • 1 NO / 2 COM / 3 NC: Relay output (External error, KILL OUT, Lock indication, or Open/closed door indication). 24V, 1A.
  • 4 (24 V DC): Power (+).
  • 5 QTST: Monitoring test.
  • 6 PDET: Presence detection (Swing path).
  • 7 PIMP: Presence impulse (Approach side).
  • 8 GND: Ground.

Functions

  • Relay 1: Presence impulse (NC)
  • Relay 2: Presence detection (NC)

Blanking Potentiometer: Adjust to avoid presence detection sensor detecting the wall. Range 55 degrees to fully open.
