Assa Abloy SW300 - Electrical Connection Manual
  • Place the electric switch easily accessible from the operator.
  • The operator is intended for fixed installation only with cable entry from the back plate. It is not designed for cable entry from the side plates.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Mains Connection

  1. Switch off the mains power.
  2. Connect the plug contact to the wall socket or connect to the mains switch.

Alt. 1 (Standard)

Remove the protective lid (1) and connect the incoming mains power through the strain relief (2) to the connection block (3).

12.1 Control Units

12.1.1 CU-300

Overview of the Control Unit connections and DIP-switches.

  • 7 AS2: Arm system setting 2

12.1.2 Arm System Selection

Note! Connect the motor cable to either PUSH or PULL depending on arm system. After changing any system selection a new LEARN must be carried out.

Factory set arm configuration is PUSH. If other is required, select arm configuration on the DIP-switches according to the table below (ON=1, OFF=0):

12.1.3 Extension Units EXU-SI / EXU-SA

Overview of expansion modules. Installed using Torx T10 and 5mm nut driver.

  • Includes Tag strip (long 2pcs EXU, short 1pc EXU).

12.1.4 Extension Unit EXU-SI

This extension unit has inputs for electro-mechanical lock, program selector, KILL function, OPEN/CLOSE, KEY opening and outer impulse.

Note! Lock only functions when Program Selector is in OFF or EXIT.

Lock Kick: Position OFF: Smooth closing (no lock). Position ON: Powerful closing (with lock).

12.1.5 Extension Unit EXU-SA

This extension unit has inputs for door mounted sensors (presence impulse on approach, presence detection on swing path). Includes relay output for error indication, KILL output, Lock output or door indication.

12.1.6 How to cut the jumper on the sync cable for double doors

Note! The connection/marking of the sync cable determines which of the operators is the MASTER and SLAVE.
  • Astragal door: Master must open before Slave. Slave must close before Master.

* For "Double egress doors", these functions must be set separately for MASTER and SLAVE.

Note! Locks on MASTER and SLAVE doors must be connected to corresponding control units. Inner/Outer impulses can be connected to either or both.

12.2 Sensor Cable Inlet

12.3 Reset and Indication Device for Fire Doors

Connections for Article No. 1009828 (Reset & Indication device) and Smoke Detectors.

  • Terminal A/B: Connection points for reset device and smoke detectors.
  • CL: Optional connection leg (840/Optional).
