Important Note: The cover and axle end are fixed and cannot be extended. Cover length = centerline of hinge pin - 1 1/8” [28.5 mm].

16.3 Select Installation Template
Select the appropriate installation template based on the companion door configuration (Push or Pull). Reference Paragraph 16.1 for specific measurements.
16.4 Assemble ED100/ED250 and Closer Backplates
Parts Required (Backplate Connect Kit)

- 1. ED100 Mtg Extr Connector (DC3491-010)
- 2. M6 x 10 mm socket head w/washer (DF3495-01Z)
- 3. M6 x 10 mm Phillips flat head screw (DF3496-01Z)
Assembly Instructions
- Remove ED100 or ED250 operator from mounting plate: Refer to Chapter 8, Para. 8.2 for detailed steps on removing the operator.
- Connect ED100/ED250 mounting plate and closer mounting plate: Use the Backplate Connect Kit (DK3491-001) to join the ED100/ED250 mounting plate to the companion mounting plate. Ensure the configuration matches the door type (Push J or Pull T).
