6.1 Connecting the drive
- The electrical system (230 V) may only be connected and disconnected by a professional electrician or specialist electrician.
- Carry out the mains connection and earth conductor test in accordance with VDE 0100 Part 600.
Preparation of Cables
Note: Remove the sheath from the mains cable max. 40 mm.
- Strip the mains cable:
- Sheath removal length: 40 mm
- Stripping length: 9 mm
- PE line lead: 10 mm
- Connect the drive to the 230 V mains network.
- Turn on the main switch on the transformer.
- Insert the battery connector at the control unit.
- Carry out the production test as described in the wiring diagram “Automatic sliding doors DCU1-NT/DCU1-2M-NT”.
6.2 Mounting the cover
People can be injured when the cover is handled.
- Always make sure two people handle the cover.
- Make sure that the cover has latched in securely at the side panels.
- Release the cover carefully and check whether it has been attached safely.
Unscrew the red locking pin from the toothed belt locking (optional) before mounting.
6.2.1 Drill a hole for the toothed belt locking (optional)
The position of the hole must be checked. Depending on the positioning of the drive components, minor deviations can occur here. Dimensional specifications for dimension C can be found in the component drawing for the cover.
- Drill a hole Ø 20 mm.
- Deburr the hole.
6.2.2 Mounting the cover fixing
To guarantee the stability of the cover, cover fixings must be mounted to the track. The number and installation position depends on the length of the drive.
| Drive length | Number of cover fixings |
|---|---|
| up to 4000 mm | 2 |
| 4001 mm – 5000 mm | 3 |
| 5001 mm – 6000 mm | 5 |
Installation Position Diagrams
[Refer to technical diagrams defined for drive lengths 4000mm, 5000mm, and 6000mm in original manual]
Inserting cover fixing
- Set the cover fixing onto the track.
- Secure the cover fixing using a screw.
6.2.3 Fitting the cover earthing
- Before installing the cover earthing, check whether the cover suspension piece has been fitted.
- Knock the locating pin for the cover earthing on the side of the earthing approx. 30 mm into the upper screw duct.
6.2.4 Hook the cover safety rope in place
- Hook the cover safety rope on the cover suspension piece in the cover.
- Hook the cover safety rope on the suspension piece of the side panels.
6.2.5 Connecting cover earthing
- Connect the earthing cable of the cover using the plug-in connection of the device flat plug.
Depending on the length of the drive, a 2nd device flat plug for the cover earthing is installed in order to bridge the distance between the transformer ground and the cover earthing.
6.2.6 Sliding on the cover
- Slide the cover onto the side panels until it latches in and ensure that it is also seated correctly in the area of the track and cable guides.
- Check the correct position of the cover safety ropes and the earthing wire. There must not be any contact with moving parts.
- Turn the locking pin into the tooth belt locking mechanism (optional).
After mounting, the locking pin must be positioned above the hole in the cover so that the locking mechanism can be locked and unlocked.
- If necessary, enlarge the drill hole in the cover.
6.3 Mounting the safety devices
For information about connection and parameter setting of the safety sensors, and the inputs and outputs and on commissioning, please refer to the wiring diagram.
- Mount safety and activation equipment.
- Route cables properly in cable ducts. For electrical installation, see wiring diagram.
6.4 Installing operating elements/switches/push buttons
For electrical installation, see wiring diagram.
- Install the operating elements so that users cannot stand in dangerous areas.
6.5 Commissioning the door system
For information about connection and parameter setting of the safety sensors, and the inputs and outputs and on commissioning, please refer to the wiring diagram.
6.5.1 Creating test log
- Carry out a safety analysis.
- Record installed options in the safety analysis for the owner.
6.6 Dismantling
- The electrical system (230 V) may only be disconnected by a professional electrician or specialist electrician.
People can be injured when the cover is handled.
- If the cover is more than 4 m long, always work in pairs when handling the cover.
- Secure the door leaves against unintentional movement.
- Disconnect the rechargeable battery.
Dismantling is done in the reverse order of installation.
