Installation Instructions

This guide covers the installation of the Extended Cover Professional Edition for Dorma ED 100 and ED 250 systems. Please refer to mounting instructions 058175-45532 for the base operator installation.

1. Mounting Plate & Extension

1. Mount the main plate: Mount the mounting plate as described in the mounting instructions 058175-45532 for the ED 100/250.
2. Connect extension: Hold the mounting plate extension so that it meets the mounting plate and connect both parts with the aid of the enclosed connector and two screws.
3. Fix to lintel: Use at least two screws to fix the mounting plate extension at the lintel.
4. Drill holes: Drill two holes with a diameter of 5.5 mm into each of the outer grooves of the mounting plate extension.
5. Prepare screws: Slightly screw in a thread-cutting screw (with cheese-head) into each of the four drill holes (a few turns will suffice).
6. Prepare bracket: Break out the plastic part located in the middle of the bracket by turning it upwards and dispose of it.

2. Bracket Installation

1. Attach bracket: Turn the bracket by 45° and attach it to the extended mounting plate.
2. Realign: Realign the bracket as indicated in the diagrams (Picture 6).
3. Secure bracket: Move the bracket below the screw heads and screw down tight.
4. Middle bracket screws: Slightly screw in the two thread-cutting screws for the bracket in the middle (a few turns will suffice).
5. Secure middle bracket: Then move the bracket under the screw heads and screw down tight.
6. Check orientation: Install the bracket so that the plastic guide is located at the bottom.
7. Cable routing: Lay the program switch cable in the groove and fix with clamping plates.

3. Program Switch & Operator Mounting

1. Install program switch: Fix the program switch inside the bracket and connect it.
2. Cable ties: Wind up the remaining cables and fix them with cable ties to the centre bracket.
3. Mount operator: Mount the operator as described in mounting instructions 058175-45532 for ED 100/250.
4. Connect switch: Connect the program switch.
5. Fix cover: Fix the main cover.

4. Final Finishes

1. Fix DORMA crown: Install the Dorma branded crown piece.
2. Lateral cover: Fix the perforated lateral cover.
3. Axle cover: Fix the axle cover.
