12. Cover Specification and Installation

The cover and back plate are manufactured in clear anodized aluminium. The end plates are made of black painted steel sheet.

12.1 Fitting and Removing the Cover

  1. The cover is slid over flanges in the back plate so that the ridges fit in the grooves.
  2. Break off and snap on the fill cover into the back plate for the output shaft.
  3. Snap on the other fill cover for the second slot.
  4. Secure the cover with the screw.
Important: When properly installed and adjusted, attach the product label (including the CE mark) on the right side of the lower part of the operator cover. Apply the ASSA ABLOY logotype to the cover.
(For SE markets only: Apply the SITAC label next to the product label.)

The product label typically contains the following fields for identification and certification:

  • DESIGNATION / ART. NO. (e.g., 1004083)
  • YEAR+WEEK
  • TYPE / PROJECT/SERIAL NO.
  • TEMPERATURE ratings
  • LOAD parameters
  • PROD. ORDER
  • ELECTRICAL: Hz, W, V AC
  • CLASSIFICATION: DIN 18650
  • MANUAL REF: 1005088-en-22.0 Issue 2021-02-24

13. Signage and Safety Labels

Check that all required signage is applied and intact. "Mandatory" indicates that the signage is required by European directives and equivalent national legislation outside the European Union.

A - Product Label
Status: Mandatory
B - Emergency Break-out
Status: Mandatory (if approved for escape route)
C - ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Door Sticker
Status: Mandatory (if applicable to highlight the presence of the glass; applied to all glass sections that are moving)
D - Supervision of Child
Status: Mandatory according to national regulations. Recommended if the risk analysis shows use by children. Applied to both sides of the door.
E - Operator Designed for Disabled People
Status: Recommended if applicable. Applied to both sides of the door.
F - Activation by Disabled People
Status: Recommended if applicable.
G - No Entry / One-Way Traffic
Status: Mandatory in GB and US if applicable. (Note: Not included in the product standard kit). Displays "No Entry".
H - Automatic Door
Label text: "Automatic door"
J - Keep Clear
Label text: "Keep clear"
K - SITAC Label
Status: Mandatory in SE (Sweden). Text reference: "Ersätter lås med fallkolv till typgodkända slagdörrar..."

Placement Guidance

  • Stickers B, D, E, H, J: Typically placed at approximate height of 1100mm - 1600mm or as visible to user flow.
  • Gap Safety: Ensure labels warning of moving parts are placed near hinge areas (40mm gap indication).
