Installation & Wiring

Important: The sensor should be fixed firmly to avoid extreme vibrations. Do not cover the sensor. Avoid moving objects and light sources in the detection field. Only trained and qualified personnel may install and setup the sensor.

Fixation is compatible with the ACTIV8. Mount the sensor securely.

Wiring Protocol

Color Function
Red / Black Power Supply (12-24 V AC, 12-30 V DC)

Blue / Blue Test (Connection to door controller test output required for EN16005/DIN18650)

Setup & Settings (LCD Interface)

To access the settings via remote control, press a parameter symbol to display the saved value directly on the LCD-screen without unlocking.

  • Contrast adjustment: Push and turn the grey button simultaneously during normal function.
  • Language selection: Select before entering the first menu, within 30 seconds after power-on.
  • ZIP Codes: Used for quick parameter setups. Validate the last digit to activate.

Sensor Detection Modes

  • Radar Opening Impulse Field: Varies by mounting height. Wide: 4m x 2m / Narrow: 2m x 2.5m.
  • Infrared Safety Field: Adjustable width and angle (default 0°, from -15° to 15°). Mask parts of the field to reduce width if needed.

Standard Setups

Always test the good functioning of the installation before leaving the premises!

  • Setup 1 (Quick): Standard in- and outdoor installations.
  • Setup 2 (Assisted): Includes test of full door cycle. Use for critical environments or shopping streets.

Troubleshooting / LED Signals

LED Signal Possible Cause Solution
ORANGE LED flashes 1x Sensor signals an internal fault. Cut and restore power. If it persists, replace sensor.
ORANGE LED flashes 2x Power supply too low or high. Check power supply. Check wiring.
ORANGE LED flashes 4x Not enough IR-energy received. Check if the sensor is fastened firmly. Check cover. Provide at least filter value 3.
ORANGE LED flashes 5x Too much IR-energy received. Change radar field size or angle. Avoid reflective objects.
RED LED lights sporadically Sensor sees the door. Launch assisted setup and adjust the IR angle.
